What is Payzone Worldwide Money? |
Payzone Worldwide Money is the ultimate prepaid payment card. It can be used to make purchases in-store, online, over the phone, and to withdraw cash from ATMs worldwide, just like a regular MasterCard. However, unlike a credit card there are no interest charges or late payment fees, and no debt. You only spend what you load.
Payzone Worldwide Money is ideal for controlling your spending and can also be used to share money with friends and relatives abroad. It can even be used as a travel card. With Payzone Worldwide Money you can load money regularly onto your MasterCard, which can then be used anywhere in the world to purchase goods or services at over 30 million locations or to withdraw cash at more than 1 million ATMs worldwide displaying the MasterCard logo.

Where can I purchase a Payzone Worldwide Money Prepaid MasterCard? |
To purchase your Payzone Worldwide Money Card you can visit www.payzonemoney.com and clicking on the “Get a Card” button. The card pack will be delivered to your address by post within 2-4 working days.
No registration, ID or any other documents are required on purchase. Once you receive your card pack, you can load between £10 and £150, and you can use the card in-store. You will need to register in order to use the card online or at ATMs.

How can I load money onto my Payzone Worldwide Money Card? |
The Payzone Worldwide Money card pack consists of two cards:
- One Time Loading Card
This card will allow you to make a single load between £10 and £150 in value. This load can be performed as soon as you purchase the card, and it does not require you to register first.
Once you have registered online, a Permanent Loading Card will be sent out to your address, to replace the One Time Loading card that was provided in the card pack. The Permanent Loading Card will allow you to load up to £1,700 per annum onto your Payzone Worldwide Money card.
- Payzone World Wide Money MasterCard
This is the card you use to make purchases and withdrawals. Use this card in store, online and at ATMs worldwide. Please note that the MasterCard cannot be used to load money.
How to load your loading card.
To load onto your card, simply:
- Go to any of our 4,000 agents nationwide and request a top-up.
- Hand over your loading card.
- The agent will swipe the card and calculate the amount due.
- Pay the agent. Please note you can only pay for top ups with cash.
- The money is transferred onto your MasterCard instantly.
Please note:
- The minimum load amount for a One Time Loading Card is £10 and the maximum load amount is £150. The One Time Loading Card can only be used once.
- For a Permanent loading card minimum is £10 and the maximum load amount is £350 per transaction. Please note you can do multiple transactions in a day, e.g. if you want to load £700 in a day you will have to do two loads of £350 each.
- Customers should ensure they receive a receipt from the agent labelled, “Customer Copy” and it should say “Successful”. This is the customer’s proof that the money has been loaded successfully.
- The funds will be available for use immediately on the MasterCard.
- If the receipt says “Call Helpdesk”, the transaction has failed and needs to be re-done by the agent.
- There is no limit on reloading your card. The only limit that will be applied is the limit defined by your registration status, as follows:
- Pre-registration: Single load of £150
- Registered: £1,700 per annum (once you have received your permanent loading card).
- Notarised: £10,000 over the lifetime of the card.

Can I load my card online? |
Payzone Worldwide Money cards cannot be loaded online.
You can only load your card at any of our 4,000 Payzone Agents nationwide. Click on the “Find an Agent” button to find your local store.

Do I need to register and how do I register my Payzone Worldwide Money Card? |
You do not need to register in order to use your Payzone Worldwide Money card. Without registering, you can load up to £150 and the MasterCard can be used to make purchases in-store.
However registering your card does make additional features of the MasterCard available. Once you are registered you will be able to top up to £1,700 per year (with the option of upgrading to £10,000). You will be able to shop online, over the phone and withdraw cash from ATMs Worldwide. You will also have access to an online account where you can track all your transactions.
To register online you just need to fill in the registration form which only takes a few minutes. You can find the registration form on our website (www.payzonemoney.com). Just click on the Register button. You will need to have your card pack to hand.
When registering, you will be asked to enter your loading card number and your activation key (which is available in the cardpack). Once you submit this you will be brought through to the final page of registration where you will need to enter:
- Your name and address etc.
- A form of ID (driving license number or Passport number - please note activation will fail without one of these).
Once you have registered online, a Permanent Loading Card will be sent out to your address, to replace the One Time Loading card that was provided in the cardpack. The Permanent Loading Card will allow you to load up to £1,700 per annum onto your Payzone Worldwide Money card. Your permanent loading card will arrive in 5-7 working days after registration.
In addition, you can register by calling our helpdesk +353 (0)1 6877 985 where one of our helpful Customer Service Representatives will complete the online registration form on your behalf. Please note that while online registration is free, you will incur a fee of £3.00 to register using our Customer Service Helpdesk. We will apply a charge directly onto your card at the end of the month.
If you need to change your details after you have registered, please call our Customer Service Helpdesk. Please be advised that only the cardholder will be able to change their details with our Customer Service Representatives.

Things to remember when registering |
There are a few things to remember when registering.
- You can only have one card registered in your name at any one time. If you are trying to register a new card please ensure that your old one has been cancelled with our Customer Service Representatives.
- Please ensure that you enter your loading card number on the registration page. This is found on the front of your loading card. Alternatively, it can be found on the back of your MasterCard, on the bottom right hand corner
- The activation key is found inside the card pack. It is six characters long and is a mixture of numeric and alpha figures. This section is case sensitive, so please ensure to enter your activation key in block capitals.
- If a warning sign comes up on the second page of registration stating “Activation failed, you are restricted to one card per person” then
- You may have registered another card previously (if so please refer to point 1)
- You may also have entered in an invalid form of ID. Please check your credentials and enter either your passport number or driving license number and click submit.
- Please ensure that your password is at least 8 characters long.
- Customers should note that they can only use the card over the phone, online and at ATMs once they have registered.
All information is kept completely secure and confidential and Payzone Worldwide Money will never disclose your details to any other third parties.

How much will it cost me? |
Payzone Worldwide Money prices are very competitive. We want to give our customers a faster, more convenient way of spending their money. All the charges that may be applied are specified in the table below:

Your Payzone Worldwide Money MasterCard limits |
The amount you can load onto your Payzone Worldwide Money card depends on your registration status as follows:
- Pre-Registration
When you buy the Payzone Worldwide Money MasterCard, you can instantly load from £10 to £150. No registration, no ID or any other documents are required. Simply load up to £150 and enjoy the freedom of paying for your purchases in store around the world. It is a much safer option than carrying around cash. Please note, at this stage the card can only be used in store. To use the card at ATMs or online you will need to register your card.
- Registered
To increase your load limit to £1,700 per annum, simply go online www.payzonemoney.com and click on the Register button. Once you have registered your card, you will automatically be able to spend online, over the phone, and withdraw cash from over 1 million ATMs worldwide. You will also be sent out a permanent loading card that will allow you to top up your card to £1,700.
- Notarised
To increase your Payzone Worldwide Money limit to £10,000 we will ask you to send us a notarised copy of your passport or driving license. Your passport or driving license can be notarised by a notary, a member of your local police station, a local administrator, an embassy or by a chartered and certified public accountants and solicitors. You also need to print out the application form from your online account. Your details are already on it, so all you need to do is print and sign it. Send both of these forms to the address on the application form and we will increase your limit to £10,000. The whole process takes between 5-7 working days from the day you send it. You will then be able to load and spend up to £10,000 over the lifetime of the card.

Who can get a prepaid MasterCard? |
|
Anyone over the age of 18 with a valid form of ID and residing in the UK can get a Payzone Worldwide Money MasterCard. You don’t need a bank account and we do not require any information on your credit history.

How can I use the Worldwide Money MasterCard? |
The Payzone Worldwide Money card can be used in the following ways:
- Withdrawing cash from ATM’s
The Payzone Worldwide Money MasterCard can be used at any ATM displaying the MasterCard logo, 24 hours a day, at over 1 million ATMs worldwide. Simply insert your MasterCard into the ATM and follow the instructions. Remember you will need to enter your 4 digit PIN in order to complete the transaction. Your four digit PIN is only found inside your cardpack.
- How much can I withdraw at ATMs?
You can withdraw as much as you want from the funds in your account; subject to the withdrawal limits of the ATM. Payzone Worldwide Money MasterCard has no restrictions on the amount you can withdraw from an ATM. A fee of £1.50 will be charged for each withdrawal. Some ATMs may charge an additional fee for dispensing cash. We recommend that you avoid using fee charging ATMs. It is also important to note that the exchange rate may vary and that the currency withdrawn depends on the ATM used. Usually it will be the local currency of the ATM wherever the recipient is located at the time.
- Which ATMs can I use and how can I find them?
Using the Payzone Worldwide Money MasterCard, funds can be withdrawn at any ATM worldwide where the MasterCard logo is displayed. Funds can be withdrawn 7 days a week. We recommend that all customers use an ATM that is attached to a bank as opposed to ATM’s in shops and stores. To find your nearest ATM, please click on our MasterCard ATM locator below.

- Paying for purchases in store
Your Payzone Worldwide Money MasterCard can be used at over 30 million locations worldwide. Paying by card is a safer than carrying around cash and a more secure way to shop. You can also keep track of your spending by checking your transaction history on your online account.
- Paying online or by phone
You can use your Payzone Worldwide Money MasterCard to pay online or over the phone. When using your Payzone Wolrdwide Money MasterCard over the phone or online you will be asked for the following details.
- Card type: Please select MasterCard.
- 16 Digit MasterCard number: Found on the front of your MasterCard.
- Card expiry date: Found on the front of your MasterCard.
- CVV/CV2 code: (also known as a security code) found in your online account
- Name: Name of the person who is making the payment
This CVV code is held securely in your online account. To retrieve your CVV code simply log into your account using your loading card number, password (this would have been set by you on registration) and date of birth. You will see an option on the left hand side of the screen for “Security Code/Expiry Date”. Click on this option. A picture of a MasterCard will appear. Please enter your login password into the box*. Once you submit this your CVV code will appear on screen.
Please be advised that some companies require the name on the order form to match that of the name of the card holder.
*When you are entering your password, please ensure that you click on "Submit" rather then pressing the ENTER key on the keyboard.

What codes and PINs do I need using the Worldwide Money MasterCard |
Purchases in-store
You do not need any PIN codes when making a purchase in store. The Worldwide Money MasterCard works on a swipe-and-sign basis. Customers should ensure that they have written their signature on the back of the MasterCard.
ATM Withdrawals
You are provided with a 4 digit PIN code in your card pack. This PIN is found under a silver scratch panel. Scratch the panel carefully to reveal your PIN code for ATM withdrawals. This PIN code cannot be changed and the bank does not re-issue PINs, so please ensure that they are kept safe. Please be advised the only feature of the MasterCard that requires a PIN code is ATM withdrawals, so If you lose your PIN code you will still be able to shop in-store, online, and over the phone. However if you need to use your Payzone Worldwide Money card for ATM withdrawals we advise that you cancel your existing card, purchase a new one and re-register. From there contact our helpdesk who will verify your old details and confirm your new card numbers. They will then transfer your funds to your new card. Please note a balance transfer to a new card can take from 24- 48 hours.
Insert the MasterCard into the ATM with the Payzone sign entering first. Please ensure that the magnetic strip is facing down and the MasterCard and Payzone Logo are facing upwards.

Is there anything else to consider when using my Payzone Worldwide Money prepaid MasterCard? |
Hotels and restaurants
For hotels and restaurants you will need to ensure that 15% of the original transaction amount is available on your card to cover possible tips etc. Should no tips be given, only the original transaction amount will be charged to your account. However, the transaction will not be authorised unless the 15% is available in your card in the first place.
Un-attended points of sale
Please note that your Payzone Worldwide Money MasterCard does not work on un-attended points of sale, e.g. petrol stations.
What is a pending transaction?
A pending transaction is a temporary charge held against your available funds. It relates to an approval issued by the bank in response to an authorization request sent in by a retailer, merchant or ATM. The transaction is in pending status because the transaction has not been cleared (or settled). Typically transactions are cleared at the end of each day.
Pending transactions can arise, when for example a hotel uses your Payzone Worldwide Money card to reserve funds to cover your bill. Sometimes, this happens for cash withdrawal at ATMs. In all cases, pending transactions relate to purchases or withdrawals that have not been settled.
What happens to a pending transaction?
The pending transaction will either be settled and be converted into a completed transaction (purchase) or stay in pending for 30 days from the day of the transaction and then be released upon request of the customer. To release a pending transaction before this we will need you to do the following:
- Contact the merchant you had the transaction with.
- Ask them to provide you with written confirmation confirming the transaction was a pre-auth (send via email or fax).
- The company will need to state:
- The company name
- The date of transaction
- The amount of the transaction
- That the transaction has been cancelled/ used as a pre auth.
Please forward this email to the Helpdesk on info@payzonemoney.com or fax +353 (0)45 898798. Once we receive this information we will immediately forward it onto the bank to purge the transaction and have the amount returned to your account. This will be done in the same day that the email has been sent.

How much is the exchange rate? |
|
We offer very competitive exchange rates, to ensure you can access your money worldwide without paying exorbitant fees or charges. The exchange rate is fixed by our issuing bank daily and is an indicative rate. When purchases are made or funds are withdrawn by ATM, the exchange rate used will be the rate in effect on the day the transaction is settled.

How can I track my transactions? |
|
With Payzone Worldwide Money you can access all your transactions from your online account. Simply log into your online account and click on “View recent transactions” . You will see a box at the top of the screen listed as “Number of days”. Enter “60” into the box and press “Display/Refresh”. This will bring up your last 60 days of transactions. To get a full list of your transactions, please call our Customer Service Helpdesk on 0203 0244 351.

What happens if I forget the password to my online account? |
|
To reset your password please call our Customer Service Helpdesk. We will ask you to confirm your loading card number, name and date of birth. Please be advised that we can only reset passwords for the card holder. Once your password is reset you can then change it back to something more suitable for yourself. To do this log into your online account and click on “Edit my profile”.

Lost or stolen cards |
If your card has been lost or stolen, damaged or retained by an ATM, immediately call our Customer Helpline on 0203 0244 351. Our customer service team will do their best to protect your money and advise the best procedure for each customer’s case.
Alternatively you can access your online account 24/7 and suspend your card. Your card will be automatically blocked to secure your funds. To do this, log into your online account and select “View/Change Card status” and click “Suspend”. Once the card is suspended you will need to call our Helpdesk to cancel the card. You will then be able to purchase a new card and re register. From there we can transfer your old balance to your new card.

How do I get a replacement loading card? |

If you need a replacement loading card, please contact our Customer Service Helpdesk on 0203 0244 351. Your permanent/ replacement loading card will arrive in 5-7 working days.

|
Cards are valid for three years after you first load.

How do I replace my expired cards? |
|
You can purchase a new card pack from your local Payzone agent or purchase online for direct delivery. Please ensure you have cancelled the card with our Customer Service Helpdesk before you try to register a new card.

How do I withdraw my balance if my card has expired? |
|
You can purchase a new card pack online for direct delivery. Once registered, we can then proceed to transfer your funds to your new Payzone Worldwide Money MasterCard.

How many Payzone Worldwide Money Cards can I have? |
|

|
You can send money to every country where ATMs are available and where MasterCard is accepted.

What happens if there are transactions on my account statement that I do not recognise? |
If you notice transactions on your account that have not been made by you please report them to our Customer Service Helpdesk where our representatives will investigate. You may be required to fill out a charge back form including: date of transaction, loading card number, dispute amount and currency, reason for your dispute. Upon receipt, our Issuing bank (Banque Invik) will start investigation. Your Payzone Worldwide Money MasterCard will then be credited after successful clarification with the merchant.
Note: This can take up to 180 days to resolve

Payzone Worldwide Money provides a Customer Helpdesk Service where you can direct your questions and queries. The customer helpdesk can be contacted between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday on 0203 0244 351. How can I close my account? |
|
If you want to close your account simply call our Helpdesk on 0203 0244 351 where our representatives will ask you to confirm your name and date of birth and the reason for closing your account. There are no charges for closing your account.

|
